Each session starts outside the lab with an activity centred around computational thinking or design theory.
Coder’s are given a creative computing brief about what they’ll build during the session. They’re also given tips and tricks to get them started.
Coders work on their projects for around forty minutes. In this session they’re taking the ‘10 Block Challenge’. They have to build something using only ten strings of code.
Each coder receives individual attention to help make their ideas come to life!
During sessions coders are encouraged to share their knowledge with each other
Sometimes they even teach the teacher.
We hold a showcase during the last ten minutes of each session where parents are invited to check out projects.
As well as hear their children talk about the code they’ve created.
