QwertyKids is a digital learning lab located in Marrickville in the Inner West of Sydney, 8km from the CBD. We offer after-school programs for young people in coding, gaming and electronics. Led by experts, QwertyKids workshops are playful, participatory and plenty of fun!
We guide learners to:-
- Think creatively;
- Work collaboratively;
- Reason systematically;
- Solve complex problems;
- Set and achieve goals;
- Make, share, and present ideas.

Our Code Captain is Dannielle Chun (‘DC’)
She began her coding career as a Web Developer for multi-award winning ABC Science Online where she moderated the forum on which the word ‘selfie‘ was published for the very first time. The ABC Science Online team, with DC head coder for 7 years, produced Dr Karl Kruszelnicki’s website as well as the online pages for Catalyst on ABC TV, the Surfing Scientist and many more science and technology pages for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
More recently she was the Digital Lead for Microsoft Australia IT Pro, Developer and Education networks where she produced interactive media for the global student technology competition, Imagine Cup. She also managed all things digital for Microsoft’s ultimate geek festival, TechEd.
She has teaching certificates from both Cambridge University and Connected Courses and is certified in Education and Care First Aid. Her Working with Children Check number is WWC0770109E.
