At Qwerty Kids Sydney we take our responsibility to provide a safe online environment very seriously.
If your child appears in an online video – in keeping with Australian and International best practice – these are Qwerty’s protocols:
- No full names used.
- The contact email on clips is ours, never the students’.
- On enrolment, parents or carers sign an online video posting consent form.
- Students are given an informal safety online talk and sign their own form agreeing to Qwerty’s rules.
- If a parent does not want to have images of their child online that child can still make videos for private enjoyment.
For more information on our online safety protocols visit the ‘go to’ Australian site, esafety.gov.au. The site – part of the recent Enhancing Safety Online Children Act – has lots of great information for parents/carers.
Research and common sense tells us that like most things in life online activity is always a compromise – between creativity and safety.
At Qwerty Kids Sydney you can be assured that both issues are carefully managed.
